    Sparrow News : Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Gujarat for three-day.  He declared Modhera village in Mehsana district of Gujarat as the first solar powered village in the country.  The entire electricity requirement of Modhera village, which is famous for the Sun Temple, is being generated from solar power. Modhera will be the first village in India where electricity will come entirely from solar plants. He inaugurate it on Saturday October 2022. Solar

              As the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he had taken big steps like installing solar panels in places like canals and solar parks for solar power generation. Due to this vision of the future, today India is included in the top 5 countries producing and using solar energy in the world.


    How much did it cost ?

          Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared Modhera as the country's first round the clock solar powered village during his three-day visit to Gujarat on October 9.  80.66 crore has been spent by the Central and State Governments on this project. The government has allotted 12 hectares of land in Sajjanpura village for setting up Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Solar panels has been installed in residential houses in Modhera. During the day the village will get solar power and at night it will be powered by charged Betteries.


    Arrangement for Sun Temple

          Modhera is also famous for its historical Sun Temple. Thousands of tourists come here every year and are amazed to see the historical Sun Temple and its craftsmanship. Arrangements have also been made for this temple in this project. This temple has been furnished with heritage lighting and 3D projection. These will also work on solar energy only.


    Gujarat government claim

          The government said that the project would make Modhera the first village in India to generate pure renewable energy. The government said it shows how renewable energy can empower people at the grassroots level. With this step the people of the village can save 60% to 100% in their electricity bills. According to the Gujarat government, PM Modi will dedicate a solar-powered 3-D display, which will make tourists aware of the history of Modhera.


     Where is modhere village located ?

            Modhera is located 25 km from Mehsana district of Gujarat and about 100 km from state capital Gandhinagar. The total geographical area of ​​the village is about 2,436 hectares and it is situated on the banks of Pushpavati River in the state. Now it will be the first solar powered village in the country.


    Narendra Modi's program schedule was from 9 october to 11 october.

     October 9 at 5:30 pm- Will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of many projects in Modhera, Mehsana.

     

    October 9 at 6:45 pm- Will have darshan and worship at Modheshwari Mata Temple.

     

    October 9 at 7:30 pm - Will visit the Sun Temple.


     October 10 at 11:00 am- Will inaugurate various projects in Amod of Bharuch.


     October 10 at 3:15 pm - Modi will inaugurate the educational complex in Ahmedabad.

     

    October 10 at 5:30 pm - will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects in Jamnagar.

     

    October 11 at 2:15 pm- Will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects at Ahmedabad's Civil Hospital Asarwa. After that he will leave for Ujjain.

     

    October 11 at 5:45 pm- Will go to Shri Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain and worship.

     

    October 11 at 6:30 pm - Shri Mahakal will dedicate to the public in Ujjain.

     

    October 11 at 7:15 pm - will address a public meeting in Ujjain
