During this, Modi said, 'Even today, there are big problems like food security, fuel security and fertilizers before the world and especially the developing countries. today's era is not of war, Russian President said - we want the war with Ukraine to end soon. We have to find ways for them. You too have to take the initiative.  

       Modi said- I would like to express my gratitude to you and Ukraine that in the beginning of the crisis, when thousands of our students were trapped in Ukraine. With your help and Ukraine, we were able to get them out. Modi said that today's era is not of war. We have also talked many times over the phone about the fact that democracy is governed by diplomacy and dialogue.

       Modi said that we have been with each other every moment for the last several decades. I am grateful to you for the sentiments you have expressed for India at the SCO Summit today as well.

Putin said - aware of your concerns on Ukraine

       Putin told Modi, 'I am aware of your position and your concerns on the war with Ukraine. We want this to end as soon as possible. We will keep you informed about what is happening there. He said that we will fulfill the demand of fertilizer made by India. We will help in the field of energy. India-Russia should consider visa free tourism.

Modi said - the world is facing energy and food crisis.

        Prior to these meetings, PM Modi attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting. Discussions were held on reforming and expanding the SCO, regional security, cooperation, strengthening connectivity and promoting trade. Modi then held bilateral meetings with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. PM will leave for New Delhi in the evening.

        In the meeting, PM Narendra Modi said- India supports more cooperation and trust among SCO members. He said- The world is recovering from the Kovid epidemic. There have been some problems in the global supply chain due to Ukraine Crisis and Corona. The world is facing an energy and food crisis. Efforts should be made to develop supply chains between SCO countries. It needs better connectivity.

India bought crude oil from Russia amid war with Ukraine

        During the war with Ukraine, India bought crude oil from Russia. India imported 6.6 lakh tonnes of crude oil from Russia in the first quarter of this year. This increased to 84.2 million tonnes in the second quarter. During this, Russia also gave a discount of $ 30 per barrel. Due to this, the cost of importing one tonne of crude oil in the first quarter was about $ 790.

        It dropped to $740 in the second quarter. In this way, India got a total benefit of Rs 3,500 crore. The cost of imports from other sources increased during the same period. Cheap oil imports from Russia increased 10 times in 2022. The turnover has reached $11.5 billion. It is likely to reach a record $13.6 billion by the end of the year.


Suspense on Modi's meeting with Jinping, Shahbaz Sharif.

       Suspense remains on PM Modi's meeting with Pakistan's PM Shahbaz Sharif and Chinese President Xi Jinping. According to experts, if Prime Minister Modi meets Chinese President Xi Jinping and Shahbaz Sharif, then these meetings will be very important for Indian foreign policy.

      This will be the first meeting of Modi-Jinping after the deepening of the border dispute between India and China. At the same time, Modi will meet Shahbaz Sharif for the first time after the removal of Imran Khan in Pakistan.

Pakistan said- we want to tackle terrorism

     On the sidelines of the SCO meeting, Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that we hope that Pakistan will be out of the list of FATF. We want to tackle terrorism. This priority is not because of FATF but for the people of Pakistan and also for our own resolve.

        Apart from this, Bilawal also spoke about India hosting the SCO next year. He said that no decision has been taken on whether Pakistan will join it or not. He further said that there is no difference between the statements of the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan on the issue of Transit Trade.

        Here, on the situation of floods in Pakistan, he denied things like seeking help from India. He said that we have not sought help from India. We are helping our people and many people have come forward to help Pakistan. Relief and rescue operation underway.


SCO was formed in 2001

      SCO - Shanghai Cooperation Organization was formed in 2001. SCO is a political, economic and security organization. It has total 8 permanent members including India, Russia, China and Pakistan. Initially, the SCO had six members – Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

India joined SCO in 2017

     With the joining of India and Pakistan in 2017, the number of its permanent members increased to 8. 6 countries- Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Turkey are the dialogue partners of SCO. 4 countries- Afghanistan, Iran, Belarus and Mongolia are its observer members.
